Helping a Friend — Part 3

You do not have to know everything to begin. You are on step 269 of your CEO journey.

Today you will explore Helping a Friend and finish with one action you can use in real life.

Simple explanation

• Helping a Friend helps you notice what your mind and body need, then choose a safe next step.
• A strong first move is to pause, name what you notice, and choose one coping tool or trusted person.
• You are looking for a small change in your body, thoughts, or ability to continue, not a perfect answer on the first try.

Real-world example

Before presenting, Sam notices a fast heartbeat, names the feeling as worry, takes five slow breaths, and asks a teacher to practice once together.

Vocabulary

Signal: information your feelings or body may be sending you.
Coping tool: a safe action that helps you handle a difficult moment.
Trusted adult: a safe grown-up who listens and helps you get support.
